Heartland Bike Share invites you to Ride at The Dock – The Epic 12-Hour Fundraising Challenge!
Wednesday, December 18th Heartland Bike Share CEO Benny Foltz will be riding 12 hours on an indoor stationary bike at The Dock to raise funds for nonprofit bike share – it’s an epic quest and we need you there! Riding in the Ashton Building at Millwork Commons from 8am – 8pm, Ride at The Dock is a fundraiser like no other – all with a goal to raise $50,000 to support community-first active mobility. And we want to see you there!
2024 was a record-setting year – HBS powered over 90,000 bike share trips in our community! We also incurred over $40,000 in expenses related to theft and damage to our equipment. We believe every person should have 24/7/365 access to a reliable, bike to access jobs, educational opportunities, essential services, and healthy recreation. We also believe bike share should be affordable for everyone -- we keep it that way through our Reduced-Cost Membership program – and that active mobility should be available in our community where it is needed most. Donations for Ride at the Dock will help us continue the movement movement in the Omaha metro and Council Bluffs. All donations for this event are generously matched, doubling your impact.
Wait, riding in the Ashton Building? How does this work? Why virtual reality of course! We’ll be riding through the virtual world of Watopia on the BIG screen. We want YOU there to ride alongside Benny on one of our extra stationary bikes, cheer us on, and bring electric vibes-- we’ll have fun prizes (and surprises) for everyone making in-person donations all day long!
Can’t make it the 18th, or want to donate ahead of time? Early donations open December 1st -- just visit the the givebutter.com/rideatthedock!
